As a Lead Software Engineer - Trading Applications - C#/Typescript/React within the Equities Sales & Trading Technology team, you will serve as a core technical contributor in an agile environment. You will design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions while ensuring high-quality production code for secure, stable, and scalable systems. Your daily responsibilities include building high-performance, low-latency order management systems and GUIs to support global trading desks for products like Cash, Delta1, and ETF RFQ. You will drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve delivery speed and code quality. The role requires expertise in C#/.NET or TypeScript/React, along with experience in distributed systems, web development, and CI/CD. You will also lead evaluations of architectural designs and vendor technologies while ensuring responsible AI usage within the software development lifecycle.

What you'll do

Develop high-performance, low-latency order management systems and GUIs for global trading desks.
Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems.
Write secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by others.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing.
Automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Utilize SDLC toolchains and automation capabilities to increase the value of engineering workflows.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, specifically TypeScript/React or C#/.NET.
Professional experience building high performance UIs using web or native stacks.
Experience in Distributed Systems, UX/UI, and Web Development & Services.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching others on safe, compliant adoption.
Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and practical cloud native experience (preferred).
