As a Lead Software Engineer (SWES04)- SDET with Playwright, you will join the Commercial and Investment Banking: Test Integration and Implementation Payments Technology Team. What you'll do

Design and develop creative software solutions and troubleshoot complex technical problems.
Build end-to-end test automation for the Digital Onboarding team across multiple client-facing channels.
Lead a team of software engineers and SDETs to deliver and validate software release cycles.
Develop secure testing code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for code quality and delivery speed.
Establish validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing patterns.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
Lead architectural design evaluation sessions with internal teams to ensure technical applicability.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Python, Java, and Playwright.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, review, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and security expectations.
Proficiency across all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, continuous integration, continuous delivery, application resiliency, and security.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its information technology systems.
Practical cloud-native experience.
Experience managing senior stakeholders and a team of automation testers with strong influence and negotiation skills.
Payments business knowledge including client-facing channels (preferred).
Strong test automation experience in either QA or UAT (preferred).
