As a Lead Software Engineer- Platform with AWS within the Corporate Sector-Chief Technology Office, you will join an agile team to build and deliver secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You will serve as a core technical contributor responsible for designing creative software solutions, developing high-quality production code, and troubleshooting complex problems across various business functions. Your role involves driving the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed while ensuring rigorous validation standards. You will manage the full Software Development Life Cycle using tools like Kubernetes, AWS services including EKS, ECS, Lambda, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and API Gateway. You must be proficient in Python, Go, or Java with Spring Boot, while utilizing automation, CI/CD, and monitoring tools like Dynatrace and Splunk to ensure application resiliency.
Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish validation standards for AI outputs including security, performance, and peer review requirements.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability of software systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Lead communities of practice to promote awareness and adoption of leading-edge technologies across the organization.
Implement automation and continuous delivery methods within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Proficiency with AWS services including EKS, ECS, Lambda, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and RDS.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s).
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java/Spring Boot.
Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted development tools and coaching engineers on responsible AI practices.
Experience with Artifactory, package management (Maven, Gradle, NPM, Pypi, NuGet, Docker), GraphQL, or monitoring tools like Dynatrace and Splunk (preferred).
