You will utilize Python, Go, JavaScript, RUST, and Shell Scripting alongside tools like Jenkins, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform. You must apply deep knowledge of BGP, VRF, MPLS, and VMware NSX-T to solve complex networking challenges. Additionally, you will drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, test acceleration, and incident analysis across distributed systems.

What you'll do

  • Lead the development and delivery of software-defined networking (SDN) solutions for scalable datacenter infrastructure.
  • Design and implement network automation platforms using Python, Go, JavaScript, and modern web technologies.
  • Architect and deploy SDN solutions and orchestration systems across multi-cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Develop infrastructure-as-code, APIs, and automation frameworks that integrate with network devices and monitoring systems.
  • Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
  • Establish validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing across the development lifecycle.
  • Mentor junior engineers on network automation principles and influence technical direction regarding emerging SDN technologies.
  • Perform root cause analysis and debug complex network infrastructure components and automation software.

What we're looking for

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in network infrastructure development and networking engineering.
  • Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Strong experience developing software with Python, Go, JavaScript, RUST, and Shell Scripting for network automation.
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols (BGP, VRF, MPLS, IP, TCP, UDP) and cloud networking architectures (VPC, CNI, VMware NSX-T).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins), Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code practices like Ansible and Terraform.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and coaching others on responsible AI use.
  • Experience with network visibility tools, Cisco ACI, Calico, OVN, or Cilium (preferred); knowledge of policy-as-code and zero-trust (preferred).
