As a Lead Software Engineer - .NET/SQL Full Stack, you will join the Commercial & Investment Bank – Digital & Platform Services team to build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products. You will serve as a core technical contributor responsible for conducting technology solutions across various business functions, specifically focusing on the ACBS Loan Servicing platform, the CLS API, and the Servicing Portal. Your daily work involves developing secure production code, designing API-first services, and optimizing relational database performance. You will utilize C#, VB.NET, SQL Server T-SQL, ASP.NET, JavaScript, jQuery, and Ajax. Additionally, you will lead the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices. You must solve complex problems regarding loan servicing workflows, integration patterns, and operational stability within a regulated financial services environment.

What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
Design and execute creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems for the ACBS Loan Servicing platform.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing across the team.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
Build and enhance API-first services and web applications for the CLS API and Servicing Portal.
Optimize relational database performance using SQL Server T-SQL, data modeling, and query indexing.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Strong backend development experience with C# and/or VB.NET, including API and service development.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption.
Strong SQL skills with SQL Server T-SQL, relational data modeling, query optimization, and indexing.
Frontend/web development experience with ASP.NET, JavaScript, jQuery, and Ajax.
Experience supporting or delivering capabilities for CLS API and Servicing Portal, including building APIs and web experiences.
Financial services knowledge, experience in regulated environments, and experience with DB2 (preferred).
