Lead Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software applications.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to probe architectural designs and technical credentials.
• Architect and implement infrastructure engineering changes to modernize organizational processes and resolve technical issues.
• Use AI capabilities to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation while ensuring data security and sensitivity.
• Apply reuse-first practices within delivery and automation routines to ensure changes are traceable and auditable.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and setting validation standards for outputs.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure engineering areas such as hardware, networking, databases, storage, or automation.
• Deep knowledge of Apigee infrastructure technology and scripting languages (Python).
• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds.
• Kong is desirable (preferred).
• AWS Certification(s) (preferred).
• AI Certification(s) (preferred).
