As a Lead Software Engineer - Data Engineer and Applied AI within Corporate Technology, you will join an agile team to build and deliver secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You will serve as a core technical contributor responsible for designing creative software solutions, developing high-quality production code, and troubleshooting complex problems. Your daily work involves leading evaluation sessions with vendors, leading communities of practice, and driving the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed. You will build data pipelines using AWS and Databricks while utilizing Java, Spring, SQL, Python, and Spark. The role requires expertise in CI/CD, application resiliency, and security. Additionally, you will manage advanced technologies including LangChain, LangGraph, agentic workflows, and AIOps to solve technical challenges within the software development lifecycle.

What you'll do

Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems.
Write high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system operational stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Lead communities of practice to promote the adoption of leading-edge technologies across the engineering organization.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for code review, refactoring, and testing.
Implement automation capabilities within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to increase delivery value.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience building data pipelines using AWS and Databricks.
Advanced proficiency in Java, Spring, SQL, Python, and Spark.
Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching others on safe adoption.
Applied AI experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or agentic workflows (preferred).
