The technical stack also incorporates Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services. This role addresses the challenge of creating performant, scalable systems to provide seamless customer experiences within the travel domain.

What you'll do

Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers in a distributed microservices environment.
Develop full-stack solutions using Scala for back-end services and React for front-end interfaces.
Build robust, cloud-based solutions on AWS to improve customer experience and financial empowerment.
Create software systems that meet complex regulatory requirements for the company.
Manage shared foundational components used across multiple engineering groups.
Mentor other members of the engineering community and share knowledge on emerging technology trends.
Utilize a variety of programming languages including Java, TypeScript, Python, and Go to build scalable services.

What we're looking for

At least 4 years of experience in software engineering.
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
Master's Degree (preferred).
7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go (preferred).
3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service (preferred).
4+ years of experience in open source frameworks (preferred).
1+ years of people management experience; 2+ years of experience in Agile practices; and experience leveraging interactive AI tooling (preferred).
