Lead Software Engineer, Android Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
• Design and implement mobile applications using Android technologies such as Jetpack Compose and Kotlin Coroutines.
• Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Establish validation standards for AI outputs, including secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
• Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
• Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
• Implement complex architectural patterns such as MVI, MVVM, and Gang of Four design patterns.
• Integrate remote data using RESTful APIs and manage asynchronous programming tasks.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced proficiency in programming languages including Java, Kotlin, Coroutines, Compose, Dagger, RxJava, JUnit, Mockito, and Git.
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring security and performance standards.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
• Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, CI/CD, application resiliency, and agile methodologies.
• Experience designing Android applications using Jetpack Compose, mobile UI fundamentals, and architectural patterns like MVI and MVVM.
• Experience with other Jetpack components such as Room and Navigation (preferred).
