Lead Production Technician, Intelligence Systems joins the manufacturing team to support the Frontier Systems group in producing UAS for strategic military and commercial customers. This role involves leading a team of technicians through factory acceptance, managing production schedules, and ensuring all operators adhere to safety protocols and standard work tasks. The individual will perform hardware assembly, troubleshooting, and repairs while utilizing hand tools and specialized equipment. Key responsibilities include participating in 5S continuous improvement activities and performing detailed record keeping. The role requires proficiency with technical documentation like mechanical drawings and electrical schematics, alongside experience using production systems including NetSuite, JIRA, SQL, and Tableau. This position addresses the critical need for advanced intelligence capabilities by manufacturing unmanned aircraft systems within a high-paced environment focused on national security requirements.
Lead a team of technicians in the production and delivery of UAS through factory acceptance.
Perform advanced hardware assembly, troubleshooting, and repair on complex systems.
Manage daily operations by prioritizing tasks for operators to meet on-time delivery goals.
Ensure all staff follow safety procedures and maintain high standards for work area efficiency.
Execute data entry and reporting in production systems including MES, NetSuite, JIRA, SQL, and Tableau.
Participate in 5S activities and provide feedback to improve manufacturing processes.
Train new operators and provide technical support on the assembly line.
Maintain detailed records of production progress, risks, and blockers for weekly reports.
What we're looking for
3+ years experience in production-oriented manufacturing or electro-mechanical technician fields.
Prior experience leading a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Experience working with ERP and MES systems including NetSuite, JIRA, SQL, and Tableau.
Full understanding of product life cycle (NPI to scaled production), LEAN principles, and change management.
Ability to interpret technical documentation such as mechanical drawings, work instructions, and electrical schematics.
U.S. Person status required for access to export controlled data.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (preferred).
2+ years in a lead or production operations role; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt; AS9100/OSHA knowledge; A&P certification; UAS experience; ability to obtain Top Secret clearance (all preferred).
