Lead Production Technician, Intelligence Systems (2nd Shift) joins the manufacturing team to support the Frontier Systems group in producing UAS for strategic military and commercial customers. This role involves leading a team of technicians through factory acceptance, managing production schedules, and ensuring all operators follow safety procedures and standard work tasks. The successful candidate will perform hardware assembly, troubleshooting, and repairs while utilizing hand tools and specialized equipment. Key responsibilities include participating in 5S activities, performing detailed record keeping, and executing transactions within computer systems including NetSuite, JIRA, SQL, and Tableau. Required skills include interpreting mechanical drawings and electrical schematics, understanding LEAN manufacturing principles, and managing change management processes. The role addresses the production of advanced unmanned aircraft systems to meet critical national security requirements for intelligence community customers.
Lead a team of technicians in the production and delivery of UAS through factory acceptance.
Perform advanced hardware assembly, troubleshooting, and repair on complex systems.
Manage technician workloads and prioritize tasks to meet production deadlines and goals.
Ensure all operators follow safety procedures and standard work tasks during manufacturing operations.
Execute daily transactions and reporting within computer production systems like NetSuite, JIRA, and SQL.
Participate in 5S activities and provide feedback for continuous process improvements.
Train new operators and provide technical support on the assembly line.
Maintain detailed records of production progress, risks, and blockers for weekly reports.
What we're looking for
3+ years experience in production-oriented manufacturing or electro-mechanical technician fields.
Prior experience leading a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Experience working with ERP and MES systems including NetSuite, JIRA, SQL, and Tableau.
Full understanding of product life cycle (NPI to scaled production), LEAN principles, and change management.
Ability to interpret technical documentation such as mechanical drawings, work instructions, and electrical schematics.
U.S. Person status is required for access to export controlled data.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (preferred).
2+ years in a lead or production operations role; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt; AS9100/OSHA knowledge; A&P certification; UAS experience; and ability to obtain Top Secret clearance (all preferred).
