TL;DR · Lead Product Manager, Autonomous Vehicle Integrations

JOB TITLE: Lead Product Manager, Autonomous Vehicle Integrations The Lead Product Manager, Autonomous Vehicle Integrations joins the team responsible for the platforms and infrastructure required to deploy autonomous vehicles at scale. This role involves defining technical requirements for OEM specifications, onboard hardware, and embedded software to ensure vehicles operate as high-reliability robotaxis. You will own the platform strategy, maintain minimum vehicle specifications, and manage the interface between the platform and autonomous systems. Key responsibilities include driving trade-off decisions regarding cost, manufacturability, reliability, and performance while serving as the primary technical product owner in partner and OEM discussions. The role requires expertise in vehicle systems architecture, firmware dependencies, and hardware production. You will solve the complex problem of integrating diverse autonomous technologies into a unified, scalable commercial fleet for global deployment.

What you'll do

  • Define and maintain minimum vehicle specifications for OEM partnerships to support Uber's commercialization use cases.
  • Own the platform requirements for onboard hardware, embedded software, interfaces, and core system architecture.
  • Serve as the primary technical product owner in discussions with partners and OEMs to resolve requirement gaps.
  • Drive trade-off decisions regarding cost, manufacturability, reliability, serviceability, scalability, and performance.
  • Build mechanisms for execution at scale, including requirements documents, interface definitions, and readiness criteria.
  • Translate business strategy into concrete vehicle requirements and integration decisions for global deployments.
  • Communicate roadmap direction, technical risks, and key platform decisions to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrated experience building and launching complex hardware or vehicle products from prototype through production.
  • Experience working directly with OEMs and/or Tier 1 suppliers to define requirements and manage interfaces.
  • Strong technical fluency in vehicle systems and architecture across mechanical, electrical, embedded, and software domains.
  • Proven ability to independently own ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives from definition through execution.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to represent technical requirements to senior teams and external partners.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally to work with OEMs and autonomy partners.
  • Background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, vehicle architecture, or a related technical field (preferred).
  • Experience in autonomous vehicles, advanced automotive systems, robotics, consumer electronics, or aerospace (preferred).
