Lead Media Systems Engineer, Overnight Shift Supervisor

What you'll do

• Resolve complex technical issues affecting media acquisition, production, and content distribution across multiple networks.
• Monitor system health and performance to troubleshoot failures, install software patches, and perform routine maintenance.
• Analyze and troubleshoot streaming audio and video signals in SDI and IP 2110 routing environments.
• Manage third-party service providers to ensure compliance with signed service agreements and scopes of work.
• Select, train, motivate, and evaluate technical staff while coordinating ongoing staff development and training.
• Support the procurement of equipment and materials for media technology systems within established budget guidelines.
• Lead the development of policies and procedures for technology facilities to meet business and entertainment goals.
• Perform preventative maintenance on broadcast systems including switchers, playout servers, cameras, and automation systems.

What we're looking for

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience leading others and developing technical strategies for media engineering and live production environments.
• Expert knowledge of integrating and refreshing broadcast control room equipment and modern cabling infrastructure.
• Proficiency in microservices, DevOps tools, and design principles.
• Proficiency in SMPTE standards with a current certification such as ST 2110, ST 2022-7, or SCTE-104.
• At least one foundational cloud certification such as Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, CompTIA Cloud+, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
• Expert knowledge of Evertz software control systems, compression techniques (MPEG2/4, HEVC, JPEG XS), and major media systems.
• Scripting proficiency in Python, NodeJS, Bash, or PowerShell (preferred).
