What you'll do

  • Transition electromechanical products from prototype to high-volume production by optimizing for manufacturability and supply chain scalability.
  • Design and implement manufacturing processes for complex hardware across the entire manufacturing value chain.
  • Develop process flows that break down complex assemblies into logical subassemblies and sub-processes.
  • Create technical documentation including work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements for large-scale production.
  • Manage relationships with contract manufacturers to develop repeatable processes for both quick-turn development and mass production.
  • Travel to suppliers to perform initial sourcing, resolve production issues, and implement quality procedures.
  • Contribute to the mechanical and electrical design of hardware components like interconnects and board fabrication.
  • Implement automated workflows and integrated systems to streamline manufacturing operations.

What we're looking for

  • Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science.
  • 5+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware.
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively deliver electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment.
  • Experience integrating large or high complexity assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Experience in configuration management and change control processes including CCB, E&O, and effectivity dates.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong organizational attention to detail.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to export controlled information or facilities.
