Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or industrial engineering with significant experience in high-reliability space products. Required skills include lean/six sigma techniques like FMEA and root cause analysis, knowledge of MIL/IPC standards, and proficiency in Earned Value Management Systems. The role addresses the technical challenge of assembling and testing mission-critical hardware for space applications.
Lead a production team in executing assembly, integration, and testing for assigned space vehicle projects.
Develop detailed satellite system integration and test plans while coordinating necessary manpower, equipment, and facilities.
Create clear assembly documentation based on engineering drawings and parts lists for shop floor personnel.
Analyze telemetry and test data to verify functionality and resolve any identified test anomalies.
Design and develop manufacturing tools, strategies, and systems to improve production efficiency.
Manage project costs and schedules by developing Integrated Master Schedule milestones and tracking performance.
Perform root cause and corrective action analysis to improve product reliability and manufacturing quality.
Provide bottom-up estimates for new programs including manufacturing costs and time standards.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or industrial engineering with minimum of 9 years industry experience.
Graduate Degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or industrial engineering with minimum of 7 years industry experience.
Minimum of 4 years of direct experience with integration and test of high reliability space products, launch vehicle, satellite programs, or other complex systems.
Experience implementing lean/six sigma techniques including FMEA, DFMA, DTC, DOE, and root cause/corrective action analysis.
Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Experience in integration of space vehicle to launch vehicle (preferred).
Current Secret or TS/SCI security clearance (preferred).
