Lead Infrastructure Engineer, Storage

What you'll do

• Operate and enhance block, file, and object storage platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, lifecycle management, and resiliency testing for storage systems.
• Lead incident response for storage outages and perform root cause analysis to implement preventative actions.
• Build automation for provisioning, patching, upgrades, replication, backup/restore, and compliance checks.
• Implement AI-driven observability and AIOps tools for telemetry correlation and anomaly detection.
• Utilize enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation.
• Maintain runbooks, escalation paths, and standardized operational procedures for storage services.
• Manage SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, and on-call readiness for storage infrastructure.

What we're looking for

• Must be a US Citizen or Green card Holder.
• Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for infrastructure workflows with strong validation habits and data sensitivity awareness.
• Strong knowledge of storage fundamentals including RAID, replication, snapshots, tiering, and SAN/NAS systems.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major storage ecosystem such as NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure, Hitachi, Ceph, or cloud storage.
• Solid Linux fundamentals including system performance, networking basics, and kernel/storage-stack concepts.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming using Python, Go, or Bash.
• Experience with observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) and incident management in an on-call rotation.
• Kubernetes storage, Infrastructure as Code, and configuration management tools (preferred).
• Experience with backup/DR products, security controls for data platforms, and ITSM platforms (preferred).
