As the Lead Hardware Engineer for a cutting-edge ladar product line, you will oversee hardware architecture and engineering execution across mechanical, electrical, optical, and test disciplines. Your role involves transitioning high-precision active electro-optical systems from early prototypes to scaled production, leading multidisciplinary teams through concept ideation, system definition, and development. Key responsibilities include defining detailed technical specifications, managing New Product Introduction builds, and ensuring robust Verification and Validation metrics for extreme environments. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer and functional leads to ensure adequate staffing and drive continuous improvement in hardware sustainment. The ideal candidate has a degree in a relevant technical field, 8+ years of experience developing complex electromechanical systems, and expertise in managing NPI and scaling production at high levels of reliability. Proficiency in ladar/EO domain, TRL transitions, environmental testing standards, and supply chain coordination is preferred.
