What you'll do

Oversee the transition of Ladar products from Engineering Development Unit (EDU) to high-rate production.
Design and execute comprehensive Design Verification Testing (DVT) campaigns to qualify systems for environmental use.
Author technical documentation and verification matrices to prepare for Critical Design Reviews and Manufacturing Readiness Reviews.
Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to scale production from a few units per year to tens of units monthly.
Architect, design, and ruggedize manufacturing test equipment to improve efficiency and reliability on the production floor.
Collaborate with software teams to implement robust test automation and mature user interfaces.
Develop physics-based models of sensor performance to derive requirements and validate them against real-world data.
Support both laboratory-based and field-based experiments and demonstrations for system validation.

What we're looking for

Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.
5+ years of hardware-centric systems engineering experience with Electro-Optical (EO) systems, Ladar/Lidar, or high-precision pointing systems.
Experience transitioning complex, multidisciplinary systems from low Technology Readiness Levels to production-ready status.
Familiarity with Design Verification Testing (DVT) campaigns, environmental testing standards, and field testing operations.
Practical knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), test equipment ruggedization, and test process optimization/automation.
Experience leading or contributing to systems engineering reviews such as CDR, MRR, or PRR.
Advanced proficiency in analytical toolchains and languages including MATLAB and Python.
Strong laboratory skills, including the design of experiments.
