What you'll do

Design, develop, and approve end-to-end functionality for product lines, platforms, or infrastructure.
Create and own the application architecture to meet functional and non-functional product needs.
Identify and drive architectural changes to accelerate feature development and improve service quality.
Build and maintain highly scalable distributed systems for retail and fulfillment networks.
Analyze and optimize system capacity, performance, and overall operational health.
Develop solutions to foster effective data lifecycle management.
Partner with data scientists to leverage machine learning for demand forecasting and replenishment.
Maintain deep technical knowledge of backend languages, frontend frameworks, and event streaming technologies.

What we're looking for

A 4-year degree or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have 7+ years of software development experience with at least one full cycle implementation.
Experience in building highly scalable distributed systems is required.
Candidates must demonstrate broad and deep expertise in multiple computer languages and frameworks.
Candidates must demonstrate expertise in analysis and optimization of systems capacity, performance, and operational health.
Candidates must be able to design, develop, and approve end-to-end functionality of a product line, platform, or infrastructure.
Candidates must understand and develop solutions to foster data lifecycle management.
Candidates must demonstrate strong domain-specific knowledge regarding Target’s technology capabilities and key competitors’ products.
