Engineer - Stores & Supply Chain

What you'll do

• Build scalable and reliable software components for retail and fulfillment networks.
• Develop technical architecture and design to ensure robust system performance.
• Solve complex engineering problems to maintain high software quality and functionality.
• Balance the speed of delivering new features with the robustness of code.
• Manage operational issues independently with little or no oversight.
• Perform peer code reviews to ensure functional accuracy across the team.
• Implement backend solutions using technologies like Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Kafka.
• Utilize data structures and distributed programming concepts to optimize inventory and fulfillment systems.

What we're looking for

• A 4-year degree or equivalent experience is required.
• At least 1 year of software development experience with at least one full cycle implementation is required.
• Proficiency in at least one computer language is required.
• Knowledge of different data structures and their applications in a chosen programming language is required.
• Understanding of distributed programming concepts and their application to the domain is required.
• Familiarity with current and emerging technologies within your scope of responsibility is required.
• Ability to maintain technical knowledge and stay current through formal training and self-directed education is required.
