The Lead DS Engineer joins the IT Infrastructure and Operations team to support the BIM contract. This role involves leading and supervising OSP/ISP, fiber optic, and communication closet engineers and technicians to ensure integrated engineering across all disciplines. Key responsibilities include managing agency and subcontractor labor, providing daily direction, performing quality assurance, and serving as the primary engineering liaison to government stakeholders. The engineer will validate deliverables like drawings and risk assessments while coordinating base access, security, and installation schedules. Required skills include distribution systems, engineering, and leadership, with specific expertise in OSP construction, fiber design, and telecommunications room infrastructure. The role requires maintaining expert knowledge of AF/SF standards, TIA/EA, UFC, I3A, CEL requirements, and fiber technologies to solve complex communications modernization problems.

What we're looking for
Must be a US Citizen.
Must currently possess or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Must have a BA/BS degree or equivalent.
Must have 5+ years of related experience.
Must have 10+ years in telecommunications engineering, network infrastructure, or OSP/ISP design.
Must have 5+ years of experience leading multi-discipline engineering teams in field or deployment environments.
Must have experience delivering large-scale communications modernization projects for DoW, federal, or large enterprise environments.
Experience leading on-site teams performing AFNET, DISA, or DoW network infrastructure programs (preferred); BICSI OSP, FOA CFOT, OSHA 30, or Security+ CE certifications (preferred).
