TL;DR · Lead Developer, AI Workflows & Media Supply Chain

The Lead Developer, AI Workflows & Media Supply Chain joins the Integration and Technology team within the Original Content Services group. This role focuses on building and maintaining software systems that automate the media supply chain, including title management, metadata curation, and distribution standardization. The developer will design and maintain AI/ML-driven automation and agentic workflows to streamline ingest, quality control, and asset validation while bridging AI models with internal data systems via secure interfaces like Model Context Protocol servers. Key responsibilities include building internal tools, managing technical reviews for other engineers, and resolving data inconsistencies across the supply chain. Required skills include Python, SQL, JavaScript, TypeScript, and shell scripting. The role requires experience with professional media file formats, RAG techniques, and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or Temporal to solve complex problems in content delivery pipelines.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain AI/ML-driven automation workflows for ingest, metadata enrichment, QC, and distribution.
  • Develop secure interfaces and API integrations between AI models and internal media management systems.
  • Create automated validation loops and human-in-the-loop systems to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Build internal tools including dashboards, UIs, and CLI utilities to provide visibility into autonomous workflows.
  • Resolve data inconsistencies across the supply chain to meet specific delivery requirements.
  • Prototype and deploy microservices and scripts to eliminate bottlenecks in content pipelines.
  • Act as a technical lead by reviewing code and defining technical direction for the team.
  • Mentor other engineers and incorporate diverse technical perspectives into final decision-making.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as an automation and workflow engineer.
  • Experience building and operating production automation or AI/ML systems within the media, entertainment, or technology industries.
  • Experience designing and shipping automated, end-to-end workflows that measurably reduced manual effort or turnaround time.
  • Experience applying AI/ML or LLM-based automation to production systems beyond prototyping.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for building automation, integrations, or data pipelines.
  • Experience with professional media file formats and QC/delivery standards used in streaming or entertainment operations.
  • Experience writing tested, maintainable production code following standard software engineering practices like code review and CI/CD.
  • Experience building secure API layers (e.g., MCP servers) for AI agents (preferred).
  • Experience with RAG or metadata indexing techniques for large-scale content archives (preferred).
  • Experience with workflow orchestration, message queuing, and containerized deployments (preferred).
  • Experience building human-in-the-loop review processes to validate automated outputs (preferred).
  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and shell scripting to build internal tools (preferred).
  • Experience communicating technical trade-offs to non-technical partners (preferred).
