What you'll do

Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and engineers to achieve department goals.
Define and drive the overall data science strategy for the organization.
Oversee multiple data science projects from inception to completion to ensure timely delivery.
Design and develop modular, efficient, and reusable software scripts or packages for research.
Implement advanced statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and data processing techniques.
Collaborate with economists and stakeholders to translate research needs into technical solutions.
Oversee data collection, storage, and processing to ensure quality, governance, and security.
Develop dashboards and visualizations to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

What we're looking for

Minimum B.Sc. in Computer Science with Statistics or Mathematics.
Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in data science.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
Proficiency in modern statistical and general-purpose programming languages including Python, R, Stata, and SQL.
Expertise in data analysis, machine learning, statistical modeling, and big data technologies.
Familiarity with Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, AWS, Ansible, Terraform, and Linux.
Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident alien with at least three years of U.S. residency.
