The Lead Data Product Owner – Traded Products joins the Corporate & Strategic finance team to define and deliver strategic data and technology capabilities for Traded Products. This role focuses on supporting regulatory reporting and Finance downstream consumers by managing complex data product initiatives for Corporate & Investment Banking and Commercial Banking products. Key responsibilities include sourcing and provisioning data for Securities, Secured Funding Transactions, Derivatives, and other related products while maintaining data Traded Product roadmaps throughout the product life cycle. The successful candidate will utilize skills in Agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and backlog prioritization. Required tools and technologies include Jira, Azure DevOps, SQL, data analytics, and reporting tools. The role solves technical problems regarding data enablement, governance, and integration needs within a complex regulatory reporting environment.
Define and deliver strategic data and technology capabilities for Traded Products regulatory reporting.
Lead complex data product initiatives for Corporate and Investment Banking and Commercial Banking products.
Support the sourcing and provisioning of data for Securities, Derivatives, and Secured Funding Transactions.
Create and maintain data product roadmaps with detailed specifications, requirements, and data flows.
Design and maintain innovative data products to enable data intelligence, analytics, and reporting.
Translate business requirements into detailed epics, features, and user stories for Agile delivery teams.
Manage complex datasets while ensuring strict adherence to enterprise data governance and standards.
Serve as a strategic liaison between Traded Products, data management, Finance, and engineering teams.
What we're looking for
5+ years of data product or data management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Experience supporting Traded Products, Capital Markets, Treasury, Risk, Regulatory Reporting, or Wholesale Banking businesses (preferred).
Knowledge of financial products including derivatives, fixed income, foreign exchange, commodities, securities, secured funding transactions, or structured products (preferred).
Experience with enterprise data platforms, data governance, data lineage, and data quality programs (preferred).
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and backlog prioritization (preferred).
Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, SQL, data analytics, and reporting tools (preferred).
Experience translating business requirements into detailed epics, features, and user stories for Agile delivery teams (preferred).
Familiarity with regulatory reporting environments and related controls (preferred).
