Lead Data Migration Archival DR Engineer

What you'll do

• Own the end-to-end strategy and execution for all data migration and archival activities.
• Design and implement disaster recovery and high-availability strategies including automated failover and regular drills.
• Develop data migration flows, structures, and standards aligned with federal security and governance requirements.
• Implement operational databases and secure data APIs using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning.
• Manage the full data lifecycle including automated archival, retention schedules, and purging strategies.
• Lead and mentor the Data Migration Engineer by assigning and reviewing hands-on migration execution.
• Validate data integrity and audit trail completeness to ensure 99.5% accuracy during migration events.
• Produce audit-ready documentation for all migration scripts, transformation logic, and design decisions.

What we're looking for

• Must have an MA/MS degree with 10+ years of general information systems experience and 8+ years of specialized experience.
• Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree: HS (16+ years), AA/AS (14+ years), BA/BS (12+ years), or Doctorate (9+ years).
• Must have deep experience designing data architecture using AWS data services and modern application patterns.
• Must have demonstrated experience developing migration and archival strategies, including source-to-target mapping, data profiling, and rollback planning.
• Must have hands-on experience designing and testing disaster recovery (DR) and high-availability architectures, including automated failover and drills.
• Must possess strong SQL, NoSQL, GraphDB, and data validation skills to build automated data integrity and audit-trail checks.
• Experience supporting government, public sector, or Judiciary/court information systems is strongly preferred.
• Certifications such as CDMP, Snowflake SnowPro Advanced, Databricks Certified Data Professional, or AWS certifications are preferred.
