What you'll do

Configure and manage CDN configurations within the Disney Distribution Mesh.
Manage OpenCache deployments with global ISPs to optimize content delivery.
Analyze performance metrics across caching infrastructure to identify areas for improvement.
Oversee day-to-day operations of the Disney Distribution Mesh and manage incidents via CDN support teams.
Develop engineering tools and automation to integrate third-party CDNs into a unified control plane.
Provide technical consultation on caching solutions to internal stakeholders.
Provide senior tier-3 on-call evaluation, escalation, and troubleshooting for complex issues.
Mentor and train team members on caching technologies and distribution systems.

What we're looking for

A Bachelor's degree is required.
Minimum of 7 years of experience managing caching solutions.
Experience in a Content Distribution Network (CDN) environment.
Understanding of streaming video protocols (HLS) and their interaction with caching.
Ability to perform network troubleshooting.
Knowledge of video players and their impact on cache logic.
Preferred experience with HTTP, DNS, and Internet Architecture.
Preferred skills in Varnish, NGINX, HAProxy, AWS, GCP, Python, Ansible, and security protocols.
