Lead Architect, ServiceNow

What you'll do

• Lead ServiceNow platform and solution architecture for strategic initiatives from discovery through delivery and adoption.
• Define target-state architectures, reference designs, and reusable patterns for workflows, data models, and identity.
• Drive architecture governance by facilitating design reviews and documenting decisions through Architecture Decision Records.
• Translate non-functional requirements into implementable designs for availability, performance, scalability, security, and observability.
• Own the integration strategy between ServiceNow and external systems using APIs, events, and middleware patterns.
• Identify architectural risks early and propose pragmatic mitigation plans and phased roadmaps.
• Mentor engineers and architects through design coaching and implementation guidance to raise technical standards.
• Optimize platform performance by guiding instrumentation, logging, monitoring strategies, and capacity planning.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on infrastructure architecture concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Deep knowledge of ServiceNow architecture, including data model design, workflows, security roles, and performance considerations.
• Proven ability to define and socialize target-state architectures, integration patterns, and reference designs across multiple teams.
• Strong command of modern integration approaches, such as API-led and event-driven patterns, and distributed system design principles.
• Experience designing for non-functional requirements including resiliency, scalability, security, observability, and disaster recovery.
• Experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within software engineering and architecture workflows with strong validation habits.
• ServiceNow architect-level certifications such as CTA or CMA (preferred).
• AWS architecture experience, including core services, security, networking, and observability patterns (preferred).
