Laboratory Service Engineer 3, RF Systems

What you'll do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of RF, electrical, and vacuum equipment.
• Assemble, test, and diagnose high-power RF subsystems including matching networks and sensors.
• Conduct system-level and PCBA-level failure analysis, including board-level validation and SMD rework.
• Use advanced instrumentation like VNAs and oscilloscopes to perform RF characterization and troubleshooting.
• Support prototype equipment installation, bring-up, and validation while developing technical documentation.
• Manage RF laboratory infrastructure, including equipment calibration tracking and inventory control.
• Ensure safe handling of high-voltage systems and hazardous materials following ESD and cleanroom protocols.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent military training with 4+ years of relevant hands-on experience.
• Equivalent industry experience supporting RF, electrical, or semiconductor equipment in an R&D or lab environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with high-power RF subsystems, RF matching networks, sensors, and calibration techniques (preferred).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical, electromechanical, fluidic, and vacuum systems at both system and board level (preferred).
• Proficiency with lab and test equipment including VNAs, oscilloscopes, power meters, DMMs, and related RF instrumentation (preferred).
• Experience performing board-level debug, component-level rework, and root-cause failure analysis (preferred).
• Familiarity with semiconductor capital equipment, RF power delivery systems, or plasma processing tools (preferred).
