As a Lab Systems Engineer, Silicon Bring-Up & Automation Platforms, you will join the hardware and lab organization to bring up and validate new Apple Silicon at the bench while building internal software platforms. You will build AI/ML based tools to accelerate data analysis, track power utilization, and implement predictive modeling for equipment demand. The role requires proficiency in Python, SQL/NoSQL databases, Docker, and CI/CD systems. You will solve complex technical challenges by creating shared instrumentation libraries and automation workflows that improve observability and reduce manual toil across the silicon validation lifecycle and hardware infrastructure.

What you'll do

Perform silicon bring-up and validation of new SoCs from first power-on through final sign-off.
Debug hardware, software, and test infrastructure issues using scopes, logic analyzers, and power analyzers.
Develop automated data pipelines for collecting, processing, and visualizing silicon validation data globally.
Build internal tools, dashboards, and shared libraries to provide visibility into lab state and device health.
Deploy and manage Kubernetes infrastructure to support distributed validation across bare metal and Docker environments.
Automate network configurations and instrument tracking to manage lab hardware and monitor system status.
Create AI/ML based tools and predictive models to analyze power usage and optimize lab equipment demand.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree required.
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of experience (preferred).
Strong Python fundamentals and ability to build production-quality internal tools, APIs, and services (preferred).
Experience with silicon bring-up, hardware validation, and register-level debug (preferred).
Experience with lab instrumentation such as scopes, logic analyzers, and power analyzers (preferred).
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (preferred).
Experience with AI-assisted development, agentic workflows, or ML modeling for data analysis (preferred).
Experience with network automation, database management, and monitoring systems (preferred).
