Senior Java/Spring Boot Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain end-to-end applications and systems on complex multi-technology platforms.
• Lead requirements gathering meetings with customers to determine business needs and manage the change request process.
• Perform technical design reviews and code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Oversee technical testing, including unit tests and system implementation plans.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and leadership for small to medium-sized projects.
• Research and propose new technologies while identifying strategies to solve complex technical problems.
• Maintain the technical development environment and coordinate on-call support and system monitoring.
• Define application scope, objectives, and functional specifications for upcoming software programs.

What we're looking for

• A BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field of study is required.
• At least 5 years of related experience is required.
• Experience with multi-dimensional platforms and business and technical applications is required.
• Full Stack Java Developer experience with Java 21, Spring, Spring Boot, WebSphere, and ORM frameworks (Hibernate, Spring DAO) is preferred.
• Intermediate proficiency with Oracle, RESTful web services design and development, JUnit, and SQL is preferred.
• Experience working with multiple platforms including Linux and Cloud (Azure) is preferred.
• Experience deploying applications to servers and using CI/CD tools like Checkmarx, SonarQube, and Artifactory is preferred.
• Mentoring others, leading small projects, Facets Provider domain knowledge, and familiarity with AI-assisted development tools are preferred.
