What you'll do

  • Oversee and administer clinical application programs, including Epic implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Align project priorities with strategic clinical goals by collaborating with nursing leadership and department heads.
  • Manage the intake process to assess project priority and balance capacity against demand.
  • Conduct resource planning, budgeting, and continuous monitoring of health application portfolio health.
  • Provide quality assurance for project managers to ensure adherence to standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present clinical portfolio performance reviews to executive leadership and steering committees.
  • Manage change control and risk oversight to ensure patient safety and system compliance.
  • Develop and implement best practices and toolsets for effective clinical application project execution.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, health informatics, computer science, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in portfolio, program, or project management with a track record in clinical application implementations.
  • One to two years of experience in healthcare IT portfolio management, preferably with Epic systems.
  • Experience managing large-scale clinical systems implementations and upgrades.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, Joint Commission, and CMS.
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare operations.
  • Preferred certifications include PMP, PMI-ACP, or CSM.
  • Experience with Epic applications or being Epic EMR certified is preferred.
