IT Portfolio Manager, Health Applications

What you'll do

• Oversee and administer clinical application programs and projects, including Epic implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
• Align project priorities with strategic clinical goals by collaborating with clinical stakeholders and department heads.
• Conduct resource planning, budgeting, and continuous monitoring of the Health Applications portfolio health.
• Provide oversight and quality assurance to project managers to ensure adherence to standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage all aspects of change control and risk oversight for clinical systems to ensure patient safety.
• Develop and implement best practices, processes, and toolsets for effective portfolio and project management.
• Prepare and present clinical portfolio performance reviews to executive leadership and steering committees.
• Lead the intake and assessment of clinical IT projects to balance capacity against demand.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, health informatics, computer science, or related field.
• Master’s degree (preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in portfolio, program, or project management with a track record in clinical application implementations.
• One to two years of experience in healthcare IT portfolio management, preferably with Epic systems (preferred).
• Experience managing large-scale clinical systems implementations, upgrades, and cross-functional teams.
• Clinical background or experience with clinical workflows and healthcare operations.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations including HIPAA, Joint Commission, and CMS.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, or CSM certifications (preferred); Epic EMR certification (preferred); experience in Agile/Scrum (highly desired).
