Mechatronics Engineer Intern

What you'll do

• Model and analyze dynamic or mechatronic system behavior.
• Use MATLAB/Simulink or Python for engineering simulations and data analysis.
• Analyze test and measurement data to identify root causes of system performance issues.
• Perform structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of technical problems.
• Plan and execute experiments, tests, and validation activities in the lab.
• Compare measured behavior against models to develop practical engineering recommendations.
• Document technical work and present findings and recommendations to the engineering team.

What we're looking for

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Controls, Applied Physics, or a related technical field.
• Experience through coursework, projects, or research in dynamic systems, feedback control, robotics, modeling, simulation, or data analysis.
• Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with Python or similar engineering tools (preferred).
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
• A hands-on mindset and willingness to work with engineering hardware and test setups.
• Good communication skills and the ability to clearly explain technical results and conclusions.
• Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology as defined in the Export Administration Regulations.
