Intern Supply Chain Specialist - SAP Materials Management & Sales and Distribution – 2027 is a role within the IBM Consulting FutureNow Center where you will work alongside experienced professionals to solve complex business and technology challenges. You will gain hands-on experience in supply chain management by assisting with procurement, inventory, fulfillment, logistics, and distribution processes. The role involves analyzing business requirements, performing data validation, and supporting SAP configuration and testing for clients across various industries like manufacturing and retail. You will utilize SAP Materials Management (MM) and Sales and Distribution (SD) modules while engaging with tools involving Artificial Intelligence, automation, analytics, and cloud technologies. This position focuses on how enterprise platforms translate business needs into technology-enabled solutions to improve operational performance and solve modern supply chain problems through data-driven insights and digital transformation initiatives.
Support business and technology teams in identifying supply chain requirements and opportunities for improvement.
Assist with SAP solutions for procurement, inventory management, sales, fulfillment, and logistics.
Analyze business requirements to determine how they translate into SAP-enabled process and technology solutions.
Perform SAP configuration, testing, data validation, documentation, and issue resolution tasks.
Analyze supply chain and operational data to identify trends and support decision-making.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and business performance.
Research how AI, automation, and cloud technologies are transforming modern supply chain operations.
What we're looking for
Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, MIS, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Possess a basic understanding of supply chain and business process concepts through coursework, projects, or internships.
Ability to analyze information, identify trends, and solve business challenges using structured problem-solving methods.
Experience with supply chain, data analysis, enterprise technology, or process improvement is preferred.
Familiarity with ERP systems, SAP, business analytics, spreadsheets, data visualization, or process mapping is preferred.
Interest in learning SAP, artificial intelligence, automation, and digital transformation of supply chains is required.
Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate ideas in academic, professional, or team-based environments is required.
