The Integrated Technologies Consultant II - CareAware Device Integration joins the CareAware Device Integration team to provide consulting implementation services for medical device connectivity products across North America. This role involves deploying hardware, software, and clinical workflow solutions for products including Bedside Medical Device Integration, Laboratory Medical Device Integration, Mobile Vitals Collection, and Infusion Suite. You will guide clients through the integration of lab analyzers, anesthesia systems, patient monitoring, respiratory ventilators, and infusion pumps. Key responsibilities include performing onsite and remote implementations, conducting technical training for informatics and IT staff, and troubleshooting device integration issues. Required skills include experience with Linux platforms, SQL, relational databases, and basic networking principles like DNS and TCP connections. You will solve complex technical problems within clinical settings like the ICU and laboratory.
Perform onsite and remote implementation of CareAware medical device integration products.
Facilitate technical discovery and provide expertise based on specific client environments.
Conduct technical training for clinical informatics, IT, lab analysts, and biomed staff.
Advise clients on deployment strategies, including system interdependencies and design impacts.
Troubleshoot device integration issues and mitigate risks during client engagements.
Manage multi-product deployments while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
Provide guidance to internal stakeholders regarding product experience and technical knowledge.
What we're looking for
At least 6 total years of combined higher education and related work experience implementing software products in healthcare or technology environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Business, Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with medical devices such as anesthesia carts, physiological monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and laboratory analyzers (preferred).
Understanding of clinical workflows in areas like ED, ICU, Med Surg, Laboratory, and Perioperative units (preferred).
1 year of technical troubleshooting and problem solving (preferred).
1 year of Linux platform knowledge or other related technologies (preferred).
1 year of experience with SQL, relational databases, or other query-based languages (preferred).
1 year experience with basic networking principles such as DNS and TCP Connections (preferred).
