As an Integrated Logistics Management System Solution Architect, Lead, you will join the team to translate complex customer IT needs into actionable plans by crafting architecture products, design specifications, and requirements. You will lead efforts to modernize legacy ILMS modules, manage cloud migrations, and integrate advanced technologies while mentoring developers to grow into future architects. The role requires expertise in State Department Integrated Logistics Management System modules such as Asset Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Inventory, Diplomatic Pouch and Mail, or Fleet. You will develop technical architectures for data governance, identity management, and security controls. Required skills include experience with federal IT platforms like Oracle, SAP, Ariba, .NET, SQL Server, or AWS GovCloud, alongside knowledge of FISMA, NIST 800-53, or Zero Trust principles. This role addresses critical challenges in federal logistics and supply chain modernization.
Translate customer IT needs and goals into technical roadmaps, design artifacts, and implementation plans.
Create architecture products and detailed design specifications for logistics systems.
Lead the modernization of legacy Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS) modules.
Execute cloud migration strategies and integrate advanced technologies into existing infrastructure.
Design technical architectures for data governance, identity management, and security controls.
Mentor junior developers to help them grow into future solution architects.
Identify business growth opportunities and shape digital solutions for the organization.
What we're looking for
5+ years of experience as a solution architect, technical lead, or systems engineer.
3+ years of experience supporting State Department Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS).
Experience with State Department ILMS modules such as Asset Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Inventory, Diplomatic Pouch and Mail, or Fleet.
Experience developing technical architectures for logistics workflows, data governance, identity management, and security controls for State Department systems.
Experience translating State Department mission and bureau requirements into technical roadmaps, design artifacts, and implementation plans.
Knowledge of ILMS workflow processes including asset management, logistics routing, shipping, warehouse operations, and procurement lifecycle steps.
Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred).
Experience with ILMS modernization, cloud redesign, or data migration activities (preferred).
Experience with federal IT stack platforms such as Oracle, SAP, Ariba, .NET, SQL Server, or AWS GovCloud (preferred).
Knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks including FISMA, NIST 800-53, or Zero Trust principles (preferred).
