The Infrastructure Specialist - System Administration joins the IBM Consulting team to provide 24/7 technical support for cloud-based solutions. What you'll do

  • Develop and configure infrastructure and configuration as code using Ansible and Terraform.
  • Deploy and maintain cloud applications across Dev, Test, and Production environments on Windows, Linux, and Unix servers.
  • Identify and fix technical problems while installing software updates to ensure system security against cyber threats.
  • Install and maintain a logging cluster using Logstash, ElasticSearch, and Kibana to parse application and docker container logs.
  • Resolve technical issues involving APIs, microservices, containers, Kubernetes nodes, middleware, and networking components.
  • Manage cloud elasticity by auto-scaling resources and ensuring DR and manual redundancy failover capabilities.
  • Provide regular service management reports and manage Application ID to keep clients informed.

What we're looking for

  • Experience developing and configuring infrastructure and configuration as code using Ansible and Terraform.
  • Experience ensuring system security, fixing technical problems, and installing software updates.
  • Experience installing and maintaining logging clusters using Logstash, ElasticSearch, and Kibana.
  • Experience resolving issues involving APIs, microservices, containers, Kubernetes nodes, and middleware components.
  • Experience with ITIL processes and Integrated Service Level Management.
  • Experience with MYSQL, MSSQL, and PostgreSQL database administration (preferred).
  • Familiarity with load balancing and CDN options like Azure Load Balancer (preferred).
  • Bachelor's Degree.
