What you'll do
- Develop and configure common solutions to complex infrastructure problems.
- Deliver robust, flexible, secure, and stable infrastructure for U.S. Navy surface ships.
- Test and troubleshoot systems within a controlled lab environment.
- Create technical documentation to support a rigorous engineering process.
- Manage Linux Server technologies and Microsoft Windows Desktop/Server environments.
- Perform IT systems administration, scripting, and automation tasks.
- Maintain and manage virtual environments for defense programs.
What we're looking for
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Computer, Systems, Software, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Preference for students with a standing of sophomore or higher.
- Experience or interest in Linux Server technologies and/or Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server technologies is encouraged.
- Experience or interest in IT systems administration, scripting, automation, and virtual environments is encouraged.
- Must possess strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and creative thinking skills.
