As an Industrial Engineer 2, you will join the engineering team to improve manufacturing operations through facility planning, process optimization, and Lean continuous improvement initiatives. What you'll do

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and material presentation strategies to improve production efficiency.
  • Create and maintain detailed 3D facility models and AutoCAD layouts for planning and expansion.
  • Design plant layouts, workstation configurations, and material handling solutions to enhance safety and ergonomics.
  • Build business cases and perform cost-benefit analyses to justify capital expenditures and equipment investments.
  • Lead cross-functional projects from concept through implementation while meeting cost and schedule objectives.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive waste reduction and process standardization.
  • Manage tooling requirements, tool control processes, and FOD prevention measures.
  • Utilize 3D printing technologies to create shop aids and manufacturing support tools.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 18+ months of Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Engineering, or related technical experience.
  • Experience developing facility layouts, manufacturing workflows, and process improvement solutions.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, quality systems, plant safety, blueprint reading, and shop mathematics.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and influence across multiple functional disciplines.
  • AutoCAD experience with 3D modeling and facility/floor plan layout design (preferred).
  • Experience developing financial analyses for capital expenditure justification and business case development (preferred); Lean Specialist certification or higher (preferred).
