JOB TITLE: Head of Enterprise KYC Technology Risk Engine Development- Director The Head of Enterprise KYC Technology Risk Engine Development- Director leads the engineering teams within the Enterprise KYC group responsible for the design, development, and operational excellence of Customer Risk Scoring and Decisioning Engines. This leader oversees the end-to-end software development lifecycle for real-time and batch calculation engines that evaluate customer risk across the KYC, CDD, EDD, and AML lifecycles. Key responsibilities include architecting high-throughput, low-latency microservices, designing stream-processing architectures, and productionizing predictive models with quantitative teams. The role requires expertise in distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and Finargo. The position solves the technical challenge of delivering accurate, explainable, and audit-compliant risk scores for client onboarding and continuous monitoring while ensuring deterministic reproducibility for regulatory inquiries and internal control functions.

What you'll do

  • Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle for core KYC risk calculation engines and scoring platforms.
  • Architect high-throughput, low-latency microservices to execute multi-factor customer risk algorithms in real-time and batch modes.
  • Design stream-processing architectures to ingest real-time customer data, sanctions alerts, and transactional signals.
  • Partner with data science teams to productionize predictive models and machine learning algorithms for risk scoring.
  • Ensure all scoring engines provide algorithmic explainability and deterministic reproducibility for regulatory and internal audits.
  • Develop standardized APIs to integrate risk engines with onboarding portals, relationship manager tools, and case management systems.
  • Build secure connectors to internal reference databases and external RegTech data sources.
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team of software engineers, data engineers, and QA automation specialists.

What we're looking for

  • 10 or more years of experience leading distributed, high-throughput engineering within KYC, anti-money laundering, or broader risk-decisioning technology.
  • Proven expertise in KYC technology management and hands-on proficiency with Finargo.
  • Experience delivering stream-processing and event-driven architectures that support low-latency, real-time service design.
  • Proven track record of partnering with data science and quantitative teams to move risk and scoring models from research into live production systems.
  • Deep understanding of the KYC, CDD, EDD, and AML lifecycle and how risk scoring connects to onboarding and case management systems.
  • Experience building scoring systems that deliver algorithmic explainability, reconciliation, and audit-readiness for regulators and internal control functions.
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience (Master’s degree and managerial experience preferred).
