Head of Business Data

What you'll do

• Define the overarching data strategy to support hyper-growth, new product lines, and global scale.
• Own the end-to-end dashboarding and reporting ecosystem for executive, GTM, and operational teams.
• Architect the data strategy and structure required to unlock and power AI capabilities.
• Define and standardize critical SaaS metrics via a robust semantic layer to create a single source of truth.
• Partner with Product Data Engineering to ensure the business data layer is integrated and reliable.
• Hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing organization of analytics engineers, BI developers, and data analysts.
• Deliver automated financial and operational reporting for the executive team, Board of Directors, and external stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or analytics engineering.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing managers.
• Deep understanding of B2B SaaS business models, unit economics, and standard metrics.
• Proven ability to partner with technical engineering teams while delivering commercial value to GTM and Finance leaders.
• Exceptional ability to translate complex data concepts into clear business narratives for C-level executives and investors.
• Deep expertise in the Modern Data Stack, specifically the analytics and BI layers like dbt, Looker, Tableau, or Sigma.
• Strong foundations in data modeling, dimensional modeling, and establishing a governed semantic layer.
• Strategic understanding of structuring and modeling data to power Large Language Models and embedded AI features.
• Experience preparing a company's data infrastructure for public market readiness or leading data diligence during late-stage fundraises (preferred).
