What you'll do

  • Perform schematic capture and coordinate the layout of highly constrained, multilayer PCBs including HDI and fine-pitch BGAs.
  • Design, implement, and debug electrical subsystems for MacBook Pro hardware.
  • Conduct bring-up, validation, and troubleshooting for complex digital and analog circuits.
  • Analyze and validate high-speed signal integrity and communication interfaces like PCIe, USB, and Thunderbolt.
  • Perform circuit design for power management, wireless systems, and high-speed communications.
  • Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and BERT scopes to judge design quality.
  • Provide factory build support and perform component data-sheet analysis for selection during schematic capture.
  • Develop scripts for complex data analysis and visualization of electrical performance.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with practical industry experience.
  • Strong EE fundamentals based on E&M physics and computer system architecture.
  • Working knowledge of design and validation for low-speed and high-speed digital interfaces like I2C, USB, PCIe, and Thunderbolt.
  • Experience using lab tools such as 25 GHz oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and BERT scopes for design validation.
  • Experience in circuit design for power, digital, analog, high-speed communications, programmable logic, and wireless domains.
  • Experience with constrained multilayer PCBs including HDI and fine pitch BGAs using Allegro or similar tools.
  • Schematic capture and constraint-driven PCB layout using Cadence tools (preferred).
  • Experience with complex data analysis, visualization, and script development (preferred).
