Data Center Hardware Engineering - Hardware System Integration Engineer

What you'll do

• Own the electrical engineering implementation, documentation, and validation of customized compute designs.
• Perform electrical design, schematic capture, and provide guidance for board layout.
• Conduct simulations, system bringup, and hardware debugging for high-performance silicon.
• Validate high-speed digital interfaces including PCIe, Ethernet, DDR Memory, and USB.
• Provide technical support for factory builds and mass production projects.
• Develop functional specifications, procedures, and technical documentation for complex system integration.
• Debug hardware problems ranging from the system level down to the transistor level.

What we're looking for

• BS in electrical or computer engineering required.
• Minimum 1+ years relevant industry work experience.
• Working knowledge of design and validation requirements for common low-speed and high-speed digital interfaces.
• Excellent skills to debug problems from the system-level down to the transistor level.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and visual communication skills for developing functional specs and documentation.
• High-speed board design experience with 10+ layer PCBs and material selection (preferred).
• Schematic entry and management of design constraints using Cadence tools or similar (preferred).
• Understanding of computer architecture and design tradeoffs (preferred).
• Experience with PCB bringup and debug using standard EE lab equipment (preferred).
• Experience in circuit design for power, digital, analog, or high-speed communications (preferred).
• Experience with PCIe, 100-GbE, or USB3/USB4 protocols (preferred).
• Automation and data manipulation script development (preferred).
