Hardware Principal Engineer – System Integration joins the Network HW Engineering team to drive the integration and delivery of enterprise-class networking platforms. This role focuses on Network L11 rack-scale solutions, where the engineer will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of systems incorporating switches, optics, cables, power, cooling, and rack infrastructure for AI and high-performance networking deployments. Key responsibilities include defining system architecture, mechanical stack-ups, cabling topologies, and airflow strategies while ensuring manufacturability and field serviceability. The candidate must possess deep knowledge of data center architecture, thermal management, and electrical systems to resolve complex problems during validation. Required skills include expertise in hardware integration, project management, and cross-functional leadership across mechanical, firmware, and supply chain teams. Lead the end-to-end integration of Network L11 rack-scale solutions including switches, optics, power, and cooling.
Define system architecture, rack layouts, mechanical stack-ups, cabling topologies, and airflow strategies for scalable deployments.
Translate data center and customer requirements into production-ready hardware designs that meet performance and manufacturability goals.
Drive technical problem-solving and resolution efforts from the development phase through to final deployment.
Manage system integration reviews and validation activities to ensure products meet cost, quality, and schedule targets.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams in mechanical, thermal, electrical, firmware, and supply chain departments to align product designs.
What we're looking for
9+ years of related experience in system-level product development.
Deep knowledge of rack-level system integration, including networking hardware, cabling, optics, power distribution, and thermal management.
Experience translating data center and infrastructure requirements into scalable, reliable, and serviceable hardware solutions.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives and influence stakeholders across engineering, operations, and business teams.
Strong project and program management skills for delivering complex hardware products on time and within budget.
BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
Experience with Network L11 rack-scale solutions including system integration, rack architecture, and data center deployment (preferred).
Familiarity with enterprise networking platforms, AI infrastructure, or large-scale data center environments (preferred).
