Hardware Senior Principal Engineer – System Integration joins the Network HW Engineering team to lead the end-to-end development of next-generation Network L10 switch platforms and L11 rack-level solutions. This role involves driving product strategy, architecture, and delivery from concept through production while collaborating with firmware, mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing teams. The successful candidate will define system architecture and interface requirements for cabling, optics, power, and rack infrastructure to support 100G, 400G, 800G, and next-generation Ethernet technologies. Key responsibilities include developing validation strategies, designing test methods, and performing root-cause analysis on complex networking products. Required expertise includes experience with Intel x86 processors, Broadcom ASICs, PHY devices, and platform management controllers. The role addresses the technical challenge of building scalable, high-performance networking solutions for hyperscale, cloud, and AI infrastructure environments.
Drive end-to-end development of Network L10 switch platforms and L11 rack-level solutions from concept to production.
Define system architecture and interface requirements across hardware, firmware, cabling, optics, power, and thermal systems.
Develop and execute system validation, test, and diagnostic strategies to ensure product quality and reliability.
Design test methods, fixtures, procedures, and troubleshooting approaches for manufacturing and field support.
Prepare and review technical specifications, validation plans, and platform management requirements.
Resolve complex technical issues and manage program risks with cross-functional teams, ODMs, and suppliers.
Lead technical decision-making and influence the direction of high-performance networking products.
What we're looking for
15+ years of experience in networking system development, including L10 switch platforms and L11 rack-level solutions.
Experience with 100G, 400G, 800G, and next-generation Ethernet technologies.
Strong understanding of network switch architectures, including Intel x86 processors, Broadcom ASICs, PHY devices, and platform management controllers.
Deep knowledge of hardware/firmware interactions, system bring-up, platform validation, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
Proven ability to lead system definition, integration, qualification, and deployment activities across cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills to influence technical direction.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience mentoring and developing engineers while fostering a collaborative culture (preferred).
