Hardware Engineering Manager

What you'll do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of electrical and mechanical hardware engineers.
• Drive technical excellence and ensure hardware designs comply with industry standards and customer needs.
• Oversee the design, development, validation, and lifecycle management of electro-mechanical products.
• Coordinate with R&D, manufacturing, service, product management, and quality teams to ensure seamless product integration.
• Gather customer insights to align hardware architecture frameworks for new product development projects.
• Conduct performance reviews, set professional goals, and provide coaching for team members.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the engineering department.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline such as Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field.
• 7+ years of industry experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership position leading engineering teams and managing complex technical programs of electro-mechanical equipment.
• Strong understanding of hardware product development cycles, including feasibility, prototyping, validation, and manufacturing.
• Proficiency with engineering tools such as SolidWorks/CAD platforms, simulation tools, and test measurement systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance such as ISO and FDA.
• Ability to travel up to 15%, possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable record, and lift up to 20lb.
• Previous experience in customer insight gathering (preferred).
• Knowledge of systems engineering practices, DFMEA/PFMEA, and reliability engineering (preferred).
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies (preferred).
