JOB TITLE: Hardware Engineer The Hardware Engineer joins the Common Hardware Group to develop innovative hardware platforms for switching, routing, and wireless products. This role involves owning the design and validation of complex hardware systems, developing technology roadmaps, and creating functional specifications and technical requirement documentation. The successful candidate will work on full product development from design to production, specifically addressing hardware challenges within the server, compute, and networking industries. Key technical requirements include experience with board design using Cadence Concept and Allegro, knowledge of multiple SoC and CPU architectures, and FPGA development and verification processes. Candidates must demonstrate a deep understanding of high-speed interfaces and proficiency in hardware validation using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers to deliver quality networking products.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 5+ years of experience, or Masters with 3+ years, or PhD in these fields.
Experience in system level development, preferably in the Server/Compute or Networking industry.
Experience in hardware designs and validation.
Hands on board design knowledge, including design tools such as Cadence Concept and Allegro (preferred).
Experience with multiple SoC and CPU architectures (preferred).
Experience in FPGA development and verification processes (preferred).
Knowledge and deep understanding of high-speed interfaces (preferred).
Experience in hardware validation using lab equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, and Spectrum Analyzers (preferred).
