What you'll do

  • Oversee regulatory compliance for hardgoods across EU and UK markets including relevant directives and standards.
  • Lead technical risk assessments regarding safety, mechanical, material, and functional risks throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Interpret and communicate complex regulatory requirements to engineering, design, and commercial teams.
  • Produce compliance documentation such as Declarations of Conformity, technical files, and risk analyses for product commercialization.
  • Coordinate testing activities with external laboratories and internal quality and R&D teams.
  • Monitor EU/UK regulatory changes and evaluate their impact on current and future products.
  • Support internal audits and external regulatory inspections while implementing corrective actions for compliance issues.
  • Train internal teams on regulatory obligations, product safety principles, and engineering compliance processes.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Five years of experience in Product Compliance, Product Stewardship, Sustainability, Materials science, Quality, or related Regulatory Affairs.
  • Three years of project management experience.
  • Three years of experience in people management.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex regulatory requirements for EU and UK markets.
  • Experience with harmonized standards such as CE marking, RoHS, REACH, WEEE, EMC, LVD, and GPSR.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills for diverse audiences including executive leadership.
  • Exceptional research, analytical, and critical thinking skills to interpret regulatory texts.
