The GPU Software Program Manager joins the team at the Samsung Austin Research and Development Center and Advanced Computing Lab to drive program management execution for GPU software development. This individual contributor role involves managing pre-silicon development, post-silicon performance, platform maintenance, and next-generation graphics and compute. Key responsibilities include schedule planning, milestone tracking, resource planning, and risk mitigation across software architecture, compilers, system software, graphics drivers, and QA. The candidate will use Jira, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint, Git, and Perforce to manage concurrent programs and report health to leadership. The role focuses on delivering performance- and power-optimized IP solutions for mobile GPUs, specifically addressing architecture scalability and integrating Ray Tracing technology into complex semiconductor products for various market segments.
Drive program management execution for GPU software development across pre-silicon, post-silicon, and platform maintenance.
Manage schedule planning, milestone tracking, resource allocation, and risk mitigation for multiple GPU software domains.
Coordinate cross-functional execution across architecture, compilers, drivers, compute, rendering, tools, validation, and QA teams.
Own program health reporting to leadership by tracking progress, risks, and blockers via Jira and Confluence dashboards.
Align software readiness with hardware development milestones, technical priorities, and Android ecosystem requirements.
Champion continuous improvement of PM processes, metrics, and execution frameworks to improve operational efficiency.
What we're looking for
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Must have 11+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s, 9+ years with a Master’s, or 7+ years with a Ph.D.
Must have 7+ years in system software technical program or project management for GPU, Graphics, CPU, multimedia, or embedded software.
Must have a strong understanding of software development lifecycles including architecture, development, validation, QA, release, performance, and maintenance.
Must have experience managing programs across graphics drivers, compilers, system software, compute, developer tools, performance, validation, or platform engineering.
Must be able to drive schedule, resource, dependency, and risk management while communicating status to technical and executive stakeholders.
Must be proficient with Jira, Confluence, defect tracking, schedule/resource management tools, Excel, and PowerPoint.
