What you'll do

  • Characterize the behavior of embedded GPUs to determine optimal power and performance settings.
  • Plan, implement, and execute validation plans focused on GPU power and performance features.
  • Design and run experiments to maximize performance and minimize power usage.
  • Achieve specific performance-per-watt targets for current and future Apple embedded GPUs.
  • Configure system hardware and software specifically for silicon characterization.
  • Lead the triage and debugging of underlying issues during the failure analysis process.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve automation tools to support characterization workflows.
  • Improve and drive advancements in silicon-based characterization methodologies.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor of Science degree and 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience with power and performance estimation and optimization.
  • Experience working in a lab environment.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Data analysis and visualization (preferred).
  • Experience with performance monitor features (preferred).
  • Experience with power measurements (preferred).
  • Experience with system and SoC architectures or familiarity with power-management techniques (preferred).
