As a GPU Energy Modeling and Analysis Engineer within the Silicon Technologies group, you will support the power activity of high-performance, power-efficient GPU development. You will develop micro-architectural level energy models for early power estimation, what-if analysis, performance per watt tradeoff analysis, and power targets. Your daily responsibilities include analyzing power consumption across the GPU to identify reduction opportunities, developing tools for measurement and visualization, and conducting directed studies to prototype architectural improvements. You will collaborate with driver, compiler, app engineers, architects, and designers to drive power reduction techniques through software or micro-architectural changes. The role requires expertise in computer architecture, low power ASIC design, and PPA tradeoffs. Required technical skills include proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages, while familiarity with Tableau and Splunk is considered a preferred qualification for this specialized hardware role.
